Private Domestic Renovation
Thurlstone, South Yorkshire
What was a very derelict weavers’ house, is now undergoing restoration to create a desirable family home. Having completed the structural survey of the property, maltech was required to carry out the timber engineering. Glulam beams were required, due to the large spans involved, and these were notched to take floor joists. Again the floor joists were designed and sized to be exposed, whilst to allowing for fire resistance.
