Jack Berry House, Malton, North Yorkshire

Rehabilitation Centre for The Injured Jockeys Fund, Newmarket

A prestigious new development for Malton, Jack Berry House is a state of the art flagship for the Injured Jockeys Fund. The building is named after Jack Berry, a well known former trainer, who has been a driving force in getting a rehabilitation unit built in the north. For him the grant of planning permission and commencement of building works on site, (which includes respite accommodation, fitness centre, amenity areas, car parking and a site managers house) is ‘a dream come true.’

As the appointed structural and civil engineers, Maltech have supplied the architects – Townscape with all the structural engineering calculations together with the site drainage design and paving details.

The scheme is due to formally open in 2015. Artists impression © Townscape Architects
