Barony ‘A’ Frame Auchinlek, Ayrshire & Butchers Row,Beverley

Barony is a disused coal mine in the west of Scotland, which is being preserved for posterity. The Miner sculpture is some 3m high and was commissioned by PLB Creative design Consultancy, as part of the restoration of the Barony ‘A’ Frame.

Maltech were required to design discreet concealed supporting foundations for the sheet steel cut out. Following successful installation, Maltech received a similar commission for a 2.5m high weathered steel ox carcass, which is the 18th artwork to be installed in Beverley as part of the town trail.
